Albuquerque Man Beats Cancer, Raises Funds for Charity by Running the Boston Marathon

Albuqueruqe, NM, April 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Mike Cushing is an employee of Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque. At age 60, Mike runs daily. He has run over 30 marathons. A few years ago Mike was diagnosed with a rare form of renal cancer. Mike lost a kidney, but fought the cancer into remission. Mike started running again and has qualified for the Boston Marathon on April 21st. Mike is running for Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque and even has fully branded running gear.

Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque is proud to dedicate their annual Non-Event Campaign to Mike Cushing and his running of the Boston Marathon. During the annual Non-Event, Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque sends an invitation to donors, who then respond with their regrets and a donation. Donations range from $32 - $1600.
