Kekei Salon in Boston Holds Cut-A-Thon to Support Families from Back Bay Fire Station 33

Kekei Salon, Boston will be organizing a Last Alarm 3.26.14 Men’s Cut-a-Thon on April 14, 2014 to raise funds for the families of Lieutenant Edward Walsh and Michael Kennedy.

Boston, MA, April 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- From 10am to 7pm on April 14, Kekei Salon will hold cut-a-thon, with $33 men haircuts specifically for the event. The money raised through men's haircut services that day will go towards the Lieutenant Walsh - Firefighter Kennedy Memorial Fund.

For the staff at Kekei Salon, the fire particularly hit home given the close proximity of the fire station to the salon location and personal friendships that members of the staff had with the firefighters. Christie Jean-Baptiste, owner of Kekei Salon states, “The team looks forward to getting involved in the community this way to demonstrate our support in light of such a tragic event. Since this is our first cut-a-thon, our goal is to raise $2,000 – we would like to be able to present a sizable check to the memorial fund that can help the families of these two heroes that risked their lives helping others.”

Kekei Salon will be collecting donations through April 19, 2014. To show your support of this event, you can donate in one of three ways:

1) Purchase a haircut donation from their website online,
2) Mail a check to Lieutenant Walsh-Firefighter Kennedy Memorial Fund to their salon at 54 Queensberry Street Boston, MA 02215, or
3) Drop off a check donation in person.
