Canadian Chinese Table Tennis Association Rejoins “We are Butterfly” Club Program

)-- The Canadian Chinese Table Tennis Association (CCTTA) in Markham, Ontario, has rejoined the “We are Butterfly” Club Program. As part of the program, Butterfly table tennis and the Canadian Chinese Table Tennis Association will jointly promote table tennis in the Markham, Ontario area. In addition, Butterfly will assist the club with table tennis equipment and club promotion.
CCTTA is a non-profit sport association founded in October 2006. It welcomes people of all ages from various ethnic groups to play ping pong under one roof. The primary goals of CCTTA are to promote social harmony and unity, to build friendship among ethnic groups, to strengthen personal health and to raise the table tennis sport to a higher recognizable level.
By 2010, CCTTA has established a permanent home in the City of Markham (on 1181 Dension Street). There are 35 tournament tables in this well-lit 15,000 square feet wood-floored standard Sport Center, which is open to the public all year round.
CCTTA hosts tournaments throughout the year. They are currently hosting the ITTF Junior Circuit - Butterfly 2014 Canadian Junior and Cadet Open, April 10th to April 13th. In addition, on June 14th & June 15th they will host the CCTTA 2014 Butterfly Open tournament.
