Columbus, OH, April 22, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- The Spot Athletics is proud to announce that one of their athletes, Alfred Short, has recently won two events at the USA Track & Field National Championships in Boston, MA. Alfred, originally from Marysville but now residing in Columbus, brought home two gold medals in both the long jump and the triple jump. Earlier this year, Alfred competed at USATF regionals, winning three golds medals in the 60 yard dash, the long jump and the triple jump. His long jump and triple jumps are currently 1st place in his class in the entire nation.
The Spot Athletics owner J.L. Holdsworth remarked on Alfred’s accomplishments: “We have several competitive adult track athletes and Alfred sought us out due to the success our track athletes have had. He is now matching his best college performances at an age when his performance should be dwindling. Alfred bought into our program from day one and his performances at the last few meets show what that type of commitment does for our athletes, no matter what age.”
