Booksource Keeps Going and Growing

Company enlarges one division less than six months ago, now ready to expand again.

St. Louis, MO, May 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Book smarts have kept a St. Louis company very busy during the past six months. Now the business is ready to grow again.

Booksource, the book distributor division of GL group, Inc., recently leased a 217,000-square-foot warehouse at 1431 Kingsland. The warehouse was originally built in 1957 for Stix, Baer & Fuller retailer. Hilliker Corporation agent Hal Ball represented both the landlord, Kingswick Holdings, LLC, and the tenant in the lease signed through Dec. of 2015. This is the seventh transaction between Hilliker Corporation and GL group.

GL group recently moved its Jaffe Book Solutions bookbinding division in Dec. of 2013 to a 38,000-square-foot leased building at 3401 Chouteau. The company's corporate headquarters are located at 5111 Southwest Ave., and its 67,000-square-foot Booksource division is located at 1230 Macklind Ave. GL group has 204 employees and revenue of $89.1 million in 2013.

GL group, which was founded in 1974, is a family-owned and operated company. The business has four divisions: Booksource, Jaffe Book Solutions, Turtleback Books (educational literature), and Peaceable Kingdom (retail products).
