San Francisco, CA, May 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Author and financial advisor, Laurie Itkin, will teach female engineers from around the world how to grow their money through investing in her presentation, "Engineer Your Financial Empowerment" on Saturday, May 3 at 10:30am at the San Francisco Westin Market Street hotel.

With a theme of "LEAD BEYOND – Developing Inspirational Women Who Change the World," the IEEE WIE leadership conference is a worldwide forum engaging and connecting women in engineering and technology that is expected to attract more than 300 women professionals.

"Women in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) have the analytical and technical skills necessary to become successful stock market investors," said Laurie Itkin, author of "Every Woman Should Know Her Options: Invest Your Way to Financial Empowerment." "Despite these talents, many women defer investment and retirement planning decisions to their spouse instead of learning how to manage the money they work so hard to earn."
