Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties Names Tim Swan Manager of Brentwood Office

Los Angeles, CA, May 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties is pleased to announce that Tim Swan has been appointed the branch manager of the company’s Brentwood office. A successful Realtor for the past 14 years, Swan brings a diverse and thorough knowledge of real estate to his new position.

“Tim has earned a reputation among his clients for his focus on their best interests and commitment to enhance both the market and environment in which we live,” said John Closson, vice president of the brokerage and regional manager for Greater Los Angeles. “The reputation he has built in our company and among his fellow agents is one that is based on a spirit of collaboration and that of being an all-around great guy.”

Formerly one of the consistent leading sales agents in the Beverly Hills office and a mentor for recently licensed agents, Swan is known for his ability to identify what is necessary to deliver a successful closing for a client, combined with his affinity for helping new agents unlock their potential. “I really appreciate the emotional rewards that come from helping other people,” notes Swan. “That is what initially attracted me to real estate.”

As a mayor-appointed board member for the city of Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ), Swan consistently donated his time to advise community leaders on how to preserve older homes with historic significance and allow for growth while maintaining the city’s aesthetics and history. He added that, “Preserving older homes is vital, but growth isn’t always the enemy. I firmly believe that new homes and developments can seamlessly fit into more established neighborhoods, as long as the design and scale is congruent with the environment.”

Swan’s ability to help his clients realize the significant tax savings available to them through the Mills Act made him a preferred representative for clients seeking to purchase older properties. Now that he is transitioning into management, he is enthusiastic about the chance to share his experience and considerable knowledge of real estate for the benefit of his agents, to help them provide their clients with a superior standard of support and service.

Swan entered the real estate business following a successful career in the entertainment industry, where he completed dozens of feature films as a location manager, production supervisor and producer.
