Glassboro, NJ, May 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Orchids of Light today announced that they are hosting “The Same Heart” Spring Gala on June 1st at An Italian Affair on Delsea drive in Glassboro, NJ. It’s a party with a purpose to help produce the feature film “The Same Heart”; a documentary that delivers the message of how we can raise 1 billion children out of poverty here in America and around the world. The Foundation also hopes to introduce its portfolio of global missions to the philanthropic community.

“The afternoon will be filled with music, magic and mystery with a silent auction, photography art show, and dancing to the best lost tracks of the 50’s and 60’s performed live by Poundcake (with Teddy Thompson, Jeff Hill, and Ethan Eubanks). Culinary delights will be prepared and presented by the legendary chef of An Italian Affair in Glassboro N.J. The restaurant also sports a wine spectator award of excellence,” says Danielle Fontana, Orchids’ Marketing Director. “The event will be an opportunity to meet the film’s director; Mr. Len Morris, view advanced cuts of the film, and connect with the global philanthropic community of the foundation.”

“This year’s gala is both a Thank You Card and a Call to Action,” says Rich Geisel, Co-Founder and President of Orchids. “I’ll be sharing stories about Orchids of Light’s missions and the transformations that took place in 2013. I hope this once a year event will draw young and old philanthropists alike off the sidelines and into an arena where they can re-discover the joy of giving and see the miraculous results that occur when 100% of your gift is delivered to the mission of your choice.”

The Orchids of Light Foundations invests in small struggling communities all around the world and guarantees positive returns. Orchid’s sends 100% of every donation to the mission of each donor’s choice and reports transparently on the transformations every “orchid of light” empowers.
