Go Girl Travel Network has announced that Dina Yuen (the Asian Fusion Girl - http://theasianfusiongirl.com/) and Kate McCulley (Adventurous Kate - http://www.adventurouskate.com/) will deliver the keynote addresses at the second annual Women in Travel Summit (WITS).
WITS is the first and only travel blogging summit by and for women. The summit focuses specifically on travel bloggers and industry executives. WITS ‘15 will be held at the luxurious Revere Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts from March 27-29, 2015. WITS educates, inspires and connects female travel bloggers together, while also providing a forum for bloggers and travel brands to grow relationships with each other. WITS is the creation of Go Girl Travel Network, an online resource and community for female travelers.
Approximately 180 attendees (98% of which were women) joined WITS ’14 this past March in Chicago, Illinois. Attendees hailed from from 25 US states and 8 countries. WITS ’15 expects a turnout of about 300 travelers, bloggers and industry executives from all over the world.
In the past six years, the number of women-only travel companies has increased by 230%, says Gutsy Traveler. Additionally, there is an estimated 32 million single American women who have traveled at least once in the past year, and some three in ten travel five or more times a year, says the Travel Industry Association.
Dina Yuen (the Asian Fusion Girl) is CEO and Founder of AsianFusion – an Asian-focused lifestyle brand. Coming from a mixed heritage of Chinese and Russian, Dina followed in both her parents' footsteps studying Industrial Engineering and Classical Piano. From early on she also developed culinary prowess by being the youngest student to ever study at the Nila Chandra Culinary Academy in Southeast Asia.
After traveling extensively and living all over the globe, Dina decided to further follow in her father's footsteps by starting her own companies. As a serial entrepreneur, she created two successful companies before founding AsianFusion. Through her various roles in the company, Dina has become a widely respected author (her books include Indonesian Cooking and the upcoming 8 Secrets of Success: From Immigrant to Leadership) and journalist who regularly interviews global leaders and celebrities and writes about food, travel and products. Dina is a contributor to publications such as The Next Women and Savvy Women.
Dina is currently working on her next books, several product lines and developing a television series.
Kate McCulley (Adventurous Kate) quit her job in 2010 to travel the world and blog about it. Since then, AdventurousKate.com has become one of the top female-written independent travel blogs and a key resource for women looking to travel the world independently. Kate's goal is to show women that solo travel can be easy, safe and a lot of fun. Kate never did go back to work – instead, she continues to travel the world and show women that no, they're not crazy for wanting to see the world on their own – they're brilliant. Originally from Boston, Kate now splits her time between London and the world.
Go Girl Travel Network is an online resource and community for over 10,000 adventurous, independent, globally minded female travelers worldwide. In addition to the Women in Travel Summit, Go Girl connects women travelers together both online and in person, through its seven global meetup hubs.
