Mt. Prospect, IL, June 26, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Henry Blim of Mt. Prospect has been named as winner of a new roof in Peterson Roofing's "No Roof Left Behind" initiative.
Henry is a 90 year old WWII veteran who has dedicated his life to the service of others. From his days in the Air Force to working at local high schools helping troubled kids, Henry has always given back to his country and local community. "I'm thrilled that so many people voted for me and my story, this is truly a wonderful program," says Blim.
Peterson Roofing has scheduled the project for Saturday, July 26 at 10am weather permitting, with Saturday, August 2 as the rain delay date. In celebration Peterson Roofing is inviting the community to join them for an "Installation Celebration" to kick off the project. This will be a family friendly, festival style neighborhood event and all are welcome.
"We are very pleased with the success of this initiative that has brought so many members of our community together. We are excited to celebrate with everyone who made this possible," said Jim Peterson, Jr. "We could not have asked for a more deserving person to win the free roof."
Other local businesses have pledged to support the "No Roof Left Behind" initiative as well. G.A.F. and Raindrop Gutter Guards have pledged to donate material and Bone Roofing Supply is on board for the material delivery. "We are very happy to see other community leaders have stepped up to assist. Teaming up for the good of the community has been one of the program highlights," says Jim Peterson, Jr.
