Boston, MA, July 02, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Go Girl Travel Network has announced the launch of the WITS ’16 Destination Contest, an opportunity for tourism boards around the United States to compete to host the Women in Travel Summit in 2016.
Four finalists will be chosen to exhibit and “sell” their destination as a great place for female travelers at the upcoming Women in Travel Summit 2015. Attendees will vote for their favorite destination and a winner will be selected live on stage at the WITS closing ceremony. They will then host the following year’s summit, showing off their destination to 500 female influencers and media professionals and receiving a sponsorship package worth US $10,000.
WITS is the first and only travel blogging summit by and for women. WITS educates, inspires and connects female travel bloggers together, while also providing a forum for bloggers and travel brands to grow relationships with each other. WITS ‘15 will be held at the luxurious Revere Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts from March 27-29, 2015.
Approximately 180 attendees (98% of which were women) joined WITS ’14 this past March in Chicago, Illinois. Attendees hailed from 25 US states and 8 countries. WITS ’15 expects a turnout of about 300 travelers, bloggers and industry executives from all over the world. WITS ’16 anticipates 500 attendees.
Applications for the WITS ’15 Destination Contest open 25 June and close on 1 October, 2014. Interested parties may apply here (http://www.travelgogirl.com/witsummit/destinationcontest/).
