SWV is Taking Names and Saving Lives

Houston, TX, July 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Survivors with Voices Foundation signs with HPT Media to increase their visibility throughout the city of Houston and beyond. The S.W.V Foundation was single-handedly pushed by its founder Alissa Rachelle Jones for a solid year before taking the next step in marketing. With the energy of just she and her husband Robbin Jones – the self-proclaimed biggest Alissa Jones fan – the Bonnie and Clyde pair have taken the country by storm; with a generated following that numbers into the tens of thousands. A support circuit that stretches across TX into the upper Midwest (Ohio and Illinois), The S.W.V Foundation is taking names and changing lives with its declaration against mental and physical abuse – bar none.

No other charity is doing what these guys are doing. Alissa Jones took all the pent up bitterness she had toward a mother who failed to protect her, a house guest who sexually assaulted her, and the men that subsequently lied, cheated and stole from her; and accomplished two things simultaneously. She wrote a controversial best seller, The Stones that Built Me Strong and started a foundation that allows women to give voice to their pain. Women can take part in support groups for mentoring and development skills, and become a legitimate author through the publishing company, Survivors with Voices Publishing.

Alissa Jones not even realizing what she had done, created a ground breaking platform that allows women to bear the true mark of a survivor – the ability to effectively tell a story of survival. No other platform is allowing women to take back their authority through authorship. Alissa Jones is running a serious campaign to better society as a whole. The S.W.V. Foundation is partnering with municipalities, other non-profits that support battered women, rehab facilities, shelters, book stores and more to transform the victim into survivor.

Stay tuned for an appearance near you. Right now Alissa is prepping for an up-coming book tour where she will be stopping off and talking to the masses about her journey toward forgiveness, healing and triumph. As rough around the edges as she may appear, there is a reason why people are flocking toward her by the droves. She is light that illuminates the beauty within others. Only after reading her book can one understand how amazing it is to witness a human being who has gone through the type of pain that she has gone through and come out as a beacon of light and hope for others to be inspired from.

Plug into the Alissa Jones camp now. For the month of July she will appear at (7/12/2014) Tha’ Party Room and Lounge, (7/13/2014) Tinker Cuts Barber Shop, (7/19/2014) The Women of Essence Red Carpet Event Live Taping and (7/26/2014) The Global Radio Network Show To Be Honest with Dawn Paul and Brandon Law.

On August 15th and 16th, the most anticipated event of the season will finally come to a head at the Norris Conference Room in City Centre, Houston TX. All year The S.W.V. Foundation has been gearing up for the annual conference that celebrates women who have overcome the obstacles of abuse. This year Removing the Bandage will headline Sunday’s Best Season 6 Winner Tasha Page Lockhart, Founder of The Chatman Women’s Foundation, Shantera Chatman, and National “Leaderologist”, Lou Gary Hughes, along with a host of testimonial speakers. This event is not to be missed as Houstonians prepare to celebrate its most distinctive non-profit organization that is taking names and changing lives.
