In 2011, Terry was awarded the Technological Innovator of the Year award by his peers. Terry is a graduate from The Marinello School of Beauty in Inglewood, California. He also took advanced studies at Dudley Cosmetology University in Kernersville, North Carolina. Additionally, he has studied extensively at the Vidal Sassoon Academy.
For nearly two decades, Terry has been known for his platform artistry and was nominated with the prestigious Spectrum International Beauty Expo (SIBE) Stylist of the Year award, and has been featured in many fashion magazines, as well as on television and film.
