Newtown PA Doctor Continues to Create a Better Alternative

Dr. Sitapara, founder of Signature Medicine, a concierge medicine practice in Newtown, Pennsylvania, noted an alarming trend of care prior to the monumental healthcare law change. “Before Obamacare, the writing was already on the wall that large impersonal administrator run practice groups were replacing the intimate family doctor's we all grew up with and trust.” He notes that these “impersonal” practice groups were the real reason why he choose to start his own concierge medicine practice.

Newtown, PA, July 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The nonprofit Association of American Medical Colleges shared an alarming statistic following the survival of Obamacare: the United States could expect a shortage of approximately 60,000 physicians in 2015 and 90,000 physicians in 2020 (Long)[1].

These record high numbers would be the result of more Americans having access to health insurance. This has prompted some doctors to consider better alternatives for providing care. One such alternative many are considering is known as concierge medicine.

“I started a concierge medicine practice because I knew there had to be a better way to take care of patients than work in an office that funneled 20-30 people through a day.”

Seven years later he is still focused on creating the best practice possible. For instance, he recently invested in Healow, a smart phone application, which allows his patients to have their personal health information right at their fingertips. By constantly trying to give his patients every advantage possible with the latest technology, diagnostic tests, and treatments, Dr. Sitapara is well-known for building strong patient-doctor relationships.
