Iron Pony & CaJohns Fiery Foods Are Turning Up the Heat in Westerville, OH August 22-24

Westerville, OH, July 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Iron Pony and CaJohns are proud to host a 3 day Chili Triple Heater. The event determines qualifiers for the International Chili Society’s World Chili Championships. Registered cooks prepare a red chili, chili verde and salsa on site as well as compete for a People’s Choice Chili Award. The cooks travel from across the United States and Canada to vie for a chance to qualify.

Along with the ICS contests, there are several opportunities for the public to participate, including, but not limited to, amateur chili contests, restaurant and community chili cook-offs, as well as an opportunity to vote for a favorite chili in the People’s Choice Contest. A highlight of the event is the 2nd Annual Service Organization Cook-off where registered 501c3 organizations compete for a $500 donation to their organization and the ‘buy a vote’ proceeds. Registration is now open for area nonprofits/service organizations.

Tasting kits will be available for purchase—this kit is the only opportunity to taste chili and cast a vote for the People’s Choice Chili, amateur and restaurant cook offs as well as a way to support a favorite service organization/nonprofit.

The events are open to the public. Tasting kits are available for $6.

All proceeds from the cook-off are donated to local charities.
