)-- McKim & Creed, Inc., an engineering, surveying and planning firm headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, is pleased to announce that two of its engineers, Grant Livengood, PE and Chris Windley, PE, have successfully completed the Future Leaders Program sponsored by the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC).
Nineteen participants graduated from the program on July 11 during ACEC/NC’s Annual Conference, which was held at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. During the seven-month interactive training, Livengood and Windley focused on such topics as communications, legislative processes, marketing and business development, financial management, contract law and risk management, and life/work balance. Sessions were taught by local and national leaders of the business community and engineering profession.
Livengood is a business unit leader at McKim & Creed. He joined the firm in 1996 and leads the company’s civil engineering and land development services.
Windley, who is a senior project manager, oversees municipal water and wastewater engineering services in McKim & Creed’s Raleigh office. He has been with the company since 2000.
At the conference, McKim & Creed was also presented with the 2013/2014 President’s Award, in appreciation for the staff’s “longstanding loyalty, commitment and service through hospitality and support to ACEC/NC and its member firms.”
