Book 'Em - a Gathering of Authors and Readers - A Fundraiser for Books to Prisons Project - Alabama

Northport, AL, July 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Free Event Aug. 2 Northport Civic Center 9 am - 5 pm

The first-ever book event in West Alabama where the community can join local authors and book lovers for addresses, panel discussions and readings. The event will celebrate writing, honor book culture, and promote reading and literacy. Also addressed will be the practical concerns of getting published.

The event will feature international bestselling author, journalist and death penalty investigator, Rene Denfeld. The Enchanted, her first novel has been gathering outstanding early acclaim. She has also published 3 non-fiction books.

Authors include: Georgia Ann Banks-Martin, Marlin Barton, Dean Bonner, John David Briley, Donald Brown, doris davenport, Nancy Dorman-Hickson, Tanya Eavenson, Bill Fitts, Wynora Freeman, Trudier Harris, Debbie Herbert, Irene Latham, Michelle Lowery Combs, Jim Noles, Christian Writers, and illustrator T. Michael Hankins.
