Philadelphia, PA, August 09, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Tailgating is synonymous with Philadelphia sports. It’s decades long tradition and as important as breathing on game days to Philly Phans. That’s where the gurus at Phan Cave come in. “They take the hassle out of tailgating and you just show up." What’s different about Phan Cave, a Philly tailgating start-up is that it’s owned by women. As the first tailgating WOB (women owned business) in the area, founders Jacqueline McDevitt and Colleen O’Hara bask in the excitement of being a first in a heavily male dominated pastime.
As Division I collegiate athletes, McDevitt and O’Hara get sports. McDevitt’s first word as a baby was “Goal!” after spending many nights on the lap of her grandfather, an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan who watched the game on mute and listened to the announcers on the radio. O’Hara, a 2x All-American at Penn State University lived the big football college experience; social life was scheduled around football season festivities. The two collaborated earlier this summer to bring Philadelphia Phan Cave.
Phan Cave provides a 30’ trailer loaded with TV’s, bathrooms, games and bars; they want to reach all ends of the Phan spectrum. “We want everyone to know they have an option for an amazing tailgate with all the amenities but convenience at the core. From families to die-hards, we can provide you with an exciting and easy tailgating experience. You just show up.”
TailgaterMagazine.com and Tailgater have established a brand that represents the lifestyle of tailgating. Tailgater has steadily grown into a multi level platform for everything tailgating has signed a contract with Phan Cave naming them Philadelphia’s “Parking Lot Pro.” / Official Event Partner.
What is a “Parking Lot Pro” you ask? TGM founder Randy Dye depicts it as this, “The Parking Lot Pro network are Official Event Partners of Tailgater. This is a proprietary grass roots network of professional tailgate/event clubs that provide a catered experience for anyone wanting to have a hassle free tailgate experience at an event. We are very thrilled to have Phan Cave on board in the Philly market."
McDevitt spoke about the newly inked partnership with TGM. “We could not be more excited about the opportunity to work with TGM! As Phans of their monthly newsletter we often researched new and exciting products and recipes from their website. When we all agreed to the “Parking Lot Pro” partnership it really felt like a seamless reunion and a great meeting of the minds. Can’t wait to see where this goes.”
“We are very excited to have Phan Cave on board in the Philly market," said Dye. "Philly fans are some of the most passionate fans in the world and Tailgater working with Phan Cave is going to ensure those who tailgate with them have one of the best experiences in the parking lot. We are very selective in setting up an Event Partner and Phan Cave certainly meets and exceeds the criteria we have in place for establishing a Parking Lot Pro."

About Tailgater Monthly:
Tailgater Monthly™ was conceived and founded four years ago by two passionate tailgaters. Though it was a tough time to launch any type of business, they understood that tailgating is a huge phenomenon where hundreds of thousands of men and women spend over a billion dollars each year on tailgating goods and supplies.
Though it started as a print magazine, Tailgater Monthly™ has grown steadily into a multi level platform with print and digital versions, e-newsletters, tailgate tours, sponsored events, custom surveying, list development and product sales. Our mission is to be the primary source of information and entertainment for all things tailgate. That’s a fancy way of saying we want to talk a whole lot about tailgating and tailgaters.
