Jack Berryhill Joins Moye White as Partner: Former Judge Will Bolster Firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Group

Former District Court Judge, Jack Berryhill, has joined the Denver law firm, Moye White LLP, as a partner and a member of the firm's newly-formed Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group. His practice will focus primarily on the arbitration and mediation of complex family law matters.

Denver, CO, September 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Denver law firm, Moye White LLP, today introduced Jack Berryhill as a Partner and a member of the firm’s recently-formed Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Group.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jack Berryhill to the firm and our ADR Group,” said Moye White Managing Partner Tom List. “Not only was Jack a distinguished District Court Judge for the past 14 years, but he had a strong private practice as a civil and commercial litigator for the preceding 25 years. Jack’s experience, expertise and standing within the legal community are a tremendous asset to Moye White and its clients.”

Earlier this summer, Berryhill completed his term as a District Court Judge in the First Judicial District (2000-2014), where he handled civil and family law cases. At Moye White, while focusing primarily on the arbitration and mediation of complex family law matters, Berryhill’s practice will also cover complex commercial and business litigation (including securities fraud), corporate disputes, land use and homeowner association issues. Under state law, he also will be able to serve as a private judge, with the ability to issue enforceable judgments from which parties will retain appeal rights.

“Jack is a tremendous addition to Moye White’s ADR Group,” said Group Chair Jim Burghardt. “He is considered one of only a handful of “go to” mediators in the Denver area who specialize in complex family law issues. We are really honored to have him join our team.”

In addition to Burghardt, the other members of Moye White’s ADR Group are partners Ted White and Carrie Rodgers and Of Counsel Jerry Conover. All will serve as “neutrals” – arbitrators or mediators –for disputes involving parties who are not the firm's clients. The five attorneys combine decades of experience in specific areas of law, business, and real estate with a strong understanding of the role of the neutral in the ADR process. Most also continue to serve as advocates for firm clients.
