Child Parent Institute Begins Construction on a New School Campus

The Child Parent Institute (CPI) broke ground on a new school campus for New Directions, a non-public school which offers both therapeutic and educational services for students needing extra support.

Santa Rosa, CA, October 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The new campus will be located at 3650 Standish Avenue in Santa Rosa. Construction is slated to finish at the end of November 2014. The New Directions expansion encompasses the renovation of 4,400 sq. ft. of existing warehouse space.

This expansion allows for increased availability of CPI services that “wrap around” the educational process. This creates huge opportunities for student success and a substantial boost to strengthening family relationships. Integrated, wrap around services are proven to improve the success rate of both the student and their family. CPI programs are built on strengths, and help to promote success, safety and permanence in the home, school and community.

Construction of a new school campus will give CPI the ability to fully equip their school with state of the art technology. This will give the students a jump start into the real world, providing them with a spark to both create and innovate.

Robin Bowen, Executive Director of the Child Parent Institute states, “We are so excited about moving New Directions on campus. With the school on site we will be able to offer wrap around services to families.”

Child Parent Institute formerly the California Parenting Institute (CPI), founded in 1978, is resolute in its mission to “end child abuse and strengthen the health of children, parents and families.” CPI has a strong history of community engagement and advocacy for children and families.
