New York, NY, November 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) has announced that the New York I Chapter will receive the First Chapter Award at the WPO’s 10th Anniversary Gala honoring its members. The event will be held at the Beaux Arts landmark St. Regis Hotel in midtown New York on Wednesday, Nov. 7. WPO members, sponsors, and board members will attend the event in celebration of the organization’s growth from a single 20-member chapter in New York City to 1,100 members and 75 chapters in North and South America.

The WPO, a nonprofit membership organization which has experienced rapid growth since its inception, was formed for a diverse group of women presidents who have guided their businesses to at least $2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million for a service-based business. Local WPO chapters are coordinated by a professional facilitator and meet monthly to share business expertise and experience in a confidential and collaborative setting.
