Jeff Bauer Elected to Seminole County School Board

Jeff Bauer was elected on November 4th to the District One seat on the Seminole County School Board.

Altamonte Springs, FL, November 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, Jeff Bauer won the General Election in his campaign for the District One seat on the Seminole County School Board. Bauer won an overwhelming victory over his opponent, Rich Sloane. He took 53.40% of the vote with 60,307 ballots cast for Bauer. With voter turnout at over 55%, Bauer held and maintained clear leads over his opponent among absentee ballots, early voters, and ballots cast on Election Day.

Bauer watched the results come in from his victory party in Altamonte Springs. When asked about how he felt while waiting for the numbers to come in, Bauer said, “For the first half hour, it was a bit of a nail biter. But as soon as the absentee and early voter ballots were processed, I started to feel that everything was going to be okay. As more and more of the precincts reported their results, I went from thinking that not only was everything going to be okay, but that things were going to be better than okay.”

By approximately 8:30pm, almost all the precincts in Seminole County had reported their final numbers, and Bauer was declared the winner of the run-off race. His win is the second one he that he has obtained during this campaign. Even though Bauer won a majority in a three-way race held on the August 26th primary, the run-off election voters cast ballots in on Tuesday was required because Florida law requires a 50%+1 outcome for a candidate to be declared the outright winner.

In response to his victory, Bauer released the following statement:

“I’m incredibly pleased that the majority of voters in Seminole County have resoundingly agreed with my ideas and the beliefs that were at the core of my campaign platform. I look forward to taking the Oath of Office that will see me become the next school board member from District One in Seminole County as I work to continue the legacy of my mother, Diane. I’m also incredibly grateful to all those many, many people who’ve shown their support for my campaign in so many different ways over the last five months. Without their faith, belief, and support, I truly believe that I would not have been able to accomplish what I have on this day. I’m humbled by this vote of confidence, and I’m very excited to provide the clear and distinct voice of strong accountability and conservatism that are so badly needed.”

Bauer will be sworn in to office at the Educational Support Center in Lake Mary, Florida at the annual reorganization school board meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
