Richard S. Hawkes is Founder and CEO of Growth River LLC, an international consultancy with offices and partners in the U.S. and Germany. Growth River specializes in major transformational change initiatives that impact organizational culture and business models while using a holistic approach that reduces complexity and creates buy-in for executives and their teams. Mr. Hawkes began his career developing margins trading systems at Morgan Stanley. He subsequently became a senior member of the strategy practice with Kepner-Tregoe International, leaving to become a partner with Strategy Partners Group LLC. In 2002 he became Chief Strategist with Guttman Development Strategies. He founded Growth River in 2007. He has worked domestically and internationally with numerous Fortune 100 companies including Corning, Cox Communications, Merck, Pfizer, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Prentice Hall, Novartis and Sun Microsystems. He has been a board member of GENEWIZ Inc. since 2007. Mr. Hawkes earned a B.A. in Computer Science and German Literature from Hamilton College. He received an M.B.A. in Marketing and Organizational Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
