Sparkle 2015, a Music & Fashion Event Benefiting BREATHE LA and Rock School Scholarship Fund, Tooks Place on Saturday April 25 at the Sofitel Hotel

Event featured a special performance by honorary RSSF board member Orianthi, there were appearances by the LA Laker Girls, Fashions by Heidi Klum and Jane Booke, music from School of Rock students and alums, and emcee Gina Grad from 100.3 The Sound support the campaign "Don't Let Smoke Hide Your Sparkle," a new initiative intended to curb the rise in cigarette usage by young women.

Los Angeles, CA, April 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- SPARKLE 2015 was a fundraiser for “Don’t Let Smoke Hide Your Sparkle,” a new initiative created by BREATHE California of Los Angeles County (BREATHE LA) celebrating all of the many wonderful things our daughters can do best with clean air and healthy lungs – like front a rock band. BREATHE LA & The Rock School Scholarship Fund (RSSF) presented a special afternoon of music, fashion and celebrities, which benefited both organizations. The event was held at the luxury hotel Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.

BREATHE LA along with Anthem Blue Cross welcomed RSSF Honorary Board Member Orianthi—recently ranked as #2 in Ultimate Guitar’s “Top 15 Greatest Female Guitarists”—who made a special guest performance with an all-female band featuring students and alumnae from several School of Rock locations. Guest performers also included Tish Ciravolo, Founder/President of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, and Daisy Rock Artist Oliva Rox. Celebrity guests who made appearances at SPARKLE 2015 included the LA Laker Girls. The afternoon was emceed by radio personality Gina Grad, co-host of 100.3 The Sound-FM’s “Mark in the Morning Show.”

SPARKLE 2015 also presented a runway fashion show featuring Heidi Klum Loungewear and Jane Booke Designs, a light luncheon courtesy ETC Gourmet, and a make your own perfume bar. Guests were invited by the LA Laker Girls to “Sign the Pledge” to Sparkle instead of Smoke at the Pledge Wall located on the patio. The silent auction featured a wide range of bidding options including generous donations from XIV Karats LTD, Sanrio, I.a.Eyeworks, Fender, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, artist Shana Mabari, rock musician Tim Armstrong, Jet Blue Airways, Disneyland, and Universal Studios. Event gift bags had items donated by Anthem Blue Cross, Hard Rock Hotel, Boscia Skincare, Zevia Zero Calorie Soda, M3K Beauty and West Hollywood Lifestyle magazine.
