Soldiers’ Angels Kicks Off Annual "Treats for Troops" Collection Drive

Candy donations will be used to support deployed troops and veterans.

San Antonio, TX, October 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Soldiers’ Angels will be collecting excess or leftover Halloween candy throughout October and November for their “Treats for Troops” initiative. Treats for Troops is a program designed to get a sweet treat to our deployed troops and veterans.

With the help of Soldiers’ Angels “Angel” volunteers around the country, the donated candy will be sent to deployed troops via care packages or distributed in person at one of the many VA Hospitals Soldiers’ Angels supports nationally.

“When our deployed troops receive even the smallest reminder from home, like candy at Halloween, it is a huge morale boost,” said Amy Palmer, President & CEO of Soldiers’ Angels. “The same goes for our Veterans in VA Hospitals. This is just one small token we can offer to our deployed troops and veterans as a ‘Thank You’ for their service.”

Those interested in donating individually wrapped candy can contact Soldiers’ Angels directly by emailing InKind@soldiersangels.org or calling 210-629-0020. A Soldiers’ Angels representative will provide an address nearest to you where you can send your donations.
