The rules of campaign finance, corporate political activity and regulatory enforcement are not ones you want to bend or break.

Cleveland, OH, May 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- As Cleveland gears up to host the Republican National Convention in July, Brent M. Buckley, Chair of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's Business Banking & Corporate Counsel Section along with the Association of Corporate Counsel NEOhio, has designed a series of educational programs that provide guidance and offer insight into the legal, regulatory and important issues that may impact the Cleveland business community surrounding the RNC.

The first in the series -- "Corporate Political Activity: Are You, Your Company -- Or Your Client -- RNC Ready?" is set for June 2, 2016 and sponsored by Buckley King and Cliffs Natural Resources, Inc. The topics to be covered will give companies and executives a better understanding of the rules of engagement and what they can and cannot do during a national political convention.

Lee Fisher, President and CEO of CEOs for Cities (former Ohio Lt. Governor, Ohio Attorney General, State Senator and State Representative) will open the morning program highlighting the RNC's importance and value to Cleveland as host city.

Two panels composed of risk management, compliance and government affairs officers from Eaton Corporation, TimkenSteel Corporation, The Sherwin-Williams Company, KeyBank, N.A. and Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. will offer insight into government relations, the scope of permissible corporate political activities, compliance and ethics and protecting your corporate reputation.

U.S. Congressman James B. Renacci (16th District of Ohio) will address the audience with an equally engaging presentation during the closing lunch.

Ohio Continuing Legal Education credits, including 1.0 hour of professional conduct, have been applied for. Visit www.CleMetroBar.org for speaker information and additional details about this program series - June 2nd, June 14th and June 21st.
