Spring Foodfest Depicts Traditional Festivities at La Residence Hue

The luxurious Art-Deco hotel in Hue City prolongs Tet holiday and depicts colourful spring festivities with an extravagant evening.

Hue City, Vietnam, January 26, 2017 --(PR.com)-- As spring flowers continue in full blossom by the banks of the Perfume River and in the garden of La Residence, the hotel is getting rustic stalls erected in preparation for its spring fair on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. The event takes place just in time with the Valentine's Day, making the date even more special.

In its fifth edition, the Spring Foodfest will showcase over 40 dishes. The majority are delicacies stemming from Hue and others from regions all over Vietnam. Traditional live cooking stations give diners a lively scene of how the locals make their food at home during Tet, the traditional New Year of the Vietnamese or how Hue food is served uniquely at every street stall. Festival-goers are invited to sit down on a bamboo stool and sample freshly-cooked food. Expect to encounter a scholar painstakingly drawing characters on red papers with black ink -- a familiar image that melts the elder's heart away when they reminisce about Tết in the old days. That's an inspiring way that La Residence pays tribute to the beautiful tradition of asking and giving calligraphy good words. For handicraft lovers, there are devotional artisans demonstrating their legacy carried on throughout the centuries on the site. But that's not all, the festival space also brings favorite folk activities and games to the stage.

Visit La Residence Hue at No. 5 Le Loi Street between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm and get into the true spirit of the spring festivities. Advanced reservations are recommended with price at USD 52 or VND1,150,000net/person including all above mentioned.
