NO JACK Automated Anti-Jacknife System Makes Tractor Trailers Safe

NO JACK will save lives and reduce economic and societal impacts of accidents by controlling trailer articulation and eliminating driver error. In addition, the NO JACK safely controls trailers for driverless and automated trucking applications.

Fort Collins, CO, February 25, 2017 --(PR.com)-- NO JACK is an automated safety mechanism which conditionally prevents the rotational movement between a semi tractor and trailer from exceeding 15° when the vehicle is in forward motion. Restricting trailer movement with the NO JACK system eliminates jackknife occurrences.

The NO JACK is integrated into the frame of OEM trailers and automatically deploys a steel retention pin the into the "V" of the 5th wheel coupling on a connected truck. During deployment, NO JACK allows tractor trailers to make lane changes and wide turns while keeping the trailer safely behind the vehicle. The automated NO JACK retracts into the trailer apron for full articulation of the trailer when maneuvering at slow speeds and in reverse.

NO JACK will save lives and reduce economic and societal impacts of accidents by controlling trailer articulation and eliminating driver error. In addition, the NO JACK safely controls trailers for driverless and automated trucking applications.

NO JACK will be unveiled at the LifeSavers National Conference on Highway Safety Priorities in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 26, 2017.

The inventor of NO JACK, US Utility Patent # 8,960,703, is actively petitioning highway safety agencies to adopt NO JACK systems as standard safety equipment. NO JACK is being made available for licensing.
