SolidTrust Pay Announces Support for the International Day of Family Remittances on June 16

Halifax, Canada, June 10, 2017 --(PR.com)-- SolidTrust Pay recently announced their support for the International Day of Family Remittances.

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of he United Nations, and 176 governments around the world have declared June 16th the International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR). On their website, the UN states that the day is “aimed at recognizing the significant financial contribution migrant workers make to the wellbeing of their families back home and to the sustainable development of their countries of origin.”

They go on to describe the proclamation of the day as representing an “invaluable opportunity not only to recognize the efforts of migrant workers globally, but also to strengthen current partnerships and create new synergies among sectors to promote the development impact of remittances worldwide.”

As a global money transfer and payment processor, SolidTrust Pay is in a position to make a valuable contribution on this day and help raise awareness. In addition to their endorsement of the IDFR pledge, SolidTrust Pay has committed to a full day of free member-to-member transactions on June 16th, in recognition of the IDFR. Anyone with a SolidTrust Pay account will be able to send money globally to family or friends without paying a transaction fee for a full 24 hours on June 16th.

Over 80 money transfer operators endorsed the IDFR in 2016. This year that number is over 90 with 85% of the market share.
