MultiGP Drone Racing League Region 5A Finals This Weekend in Washington

“The MultiGP Regional Series is designed to provide the drone racing community an accessible yet highly competitive format that clearly recognizes the most skilled pilots in the country.” -Chris Thomas, Founder of MultiGP.

Kennewick, WA, July 13, 2017 --(PR.com)-- This weekend the MultiGP race chapter FPV Racing Seattle is holding the Region 5A Finals at the Columbia Park Soccer Fields in Kennewick, Washington. The Regional Final is free for spectators, and the FPV Racing Seattle encourages you to come out and see the fastest growing sport in the world firsthand. Try on a set of goggles and see what the pilots see. At this event 27 of the Region’s fastest pilots will be competing to see who will be going to the National Championships this September in Reno. These pilots have competed in multiple events during the Regional Series this year, and all have their sights set on the title of Champion. Pilots from the 5 states in Region 5A - Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming – will compete head to head in a test of their FPV drone racing skills. The action begins at 9:00 AM Saturday morning.

Drone racing has grown from a backyard hobby, to a legitimate sport recognized around the world. MultiGP is the world leader in drone racing, with a history of over 6,000 race events in only two years. Shawn O'Sullivan, Press Relations Officer for MultiGP says this is due to the efforts of their chapter organizers, “Our volunteer chapter organizers are MultiGP’s biggest asset. They make this sport a reality, and we support them by providing tools, mentoring, and the formats for conducting successful race events for their local pilots. As a MultiGP chapter grows, we provide them with course obstacles, like race gates and flags, and other opportunities so that they can improve their local race chapter. This has allowed MultiGP to grow from one chapter and a handful of pilots, to more than 500 race chapters worldwide, and over 19,000 MultiGP pilots in only two years.”
