Keep Irving Beautiful Visits Emma's House - “A Special Place for Special People”

Irving, TX, July 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB) reaches out to all areas of Irving, including Emma’s House, a non-profit organization that provides after-school and summer activities for teens and young adults. On Tuesday, July 18, KIB staff visited the summer campers at Emma’s House, and brought their recycling mascot “Buddy the Blue Bag” with them. The young people took turns spinning the prize wheel and learning about recycling and saving energy, and were rewarded with mini-beach balls. The group posed for pictures with Buddy, all wearing their yellow safety vests and holding the litter grabbing tools that they use in their Adopt-a-Spot location.

“Keep Irving Beautiful has enjoyed working with Emma’s House for several years, and it is always a pleasure to visit them,” said KIB board member and Education Co-Chair Kelly Horn. “We have done a variety of activities with the young people here, and they are always eager to participate and learn about KIB and the environment.”
