WV Rotorsports to Hold Drone Race at Monongalia County Fair

Local MultiGP Drone Racing chapter WV Rotorsports (WVRS) will be hosting a drone race at the Monongalia County Fair in Morgantown on Saturday, August 5th at 2pm.

Morgantown, WV, August 02, 2017 --(PR.com)-- WV Motorsports is proud to present high-speed drone racing to North Central West Virginia, the first event of this kind in their state. Twenty skilled pilots from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio will be competing for prizes and glory on a custom-designed course. The pilots will be utilizing first-person view (FPV) to pilot their specialized aircraft via live video links and RC control.

The race has been sponsored by the newly formed West Virginia chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics ( https://www.aiaa.org/default.aspx ), the world's largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession. The event has also been sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA).

The race will begin at 2:00PM on the sports field, with rounds running throughout the day. The cost of admission for race spectators is included with entry to the fair.
