eMachineShop Named Finalist for 2017 NJMEP Manufacturer of the Year Award

Mahwah, NJ, September 26, 2017 --(PR.com)-- eMachineShop of Mahwah, NJ has been named a finalist for Manufacturer of the Year 2017 by the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP), a federally funded organization which helps New Jersey manufacturers innovate, improve internal efficiency and develop their workforce. For this annual award, NJMEP nominates NJ-based manufacturing companies who demonstrate industry leadership, innovation, expansion through profit, and commitment to growing employees.

eMachineShop launched as the world’s first online machine shop in 2003, offering no-minimum manufacturing and free CAD software to make part design easy. Today, eMachineShop has grown significantly to become a major player in the custom parts manufacturing industry.

Jim Lewis, eMachineShop founder and CEO, is excited to be selected as a finalist, saying “We are delighted to be recognized as a contender for the NJMEP award. eMachineShop’s objective is to make product design and production as quick, easy and affordable as possible for innovators ranging from inventors to corporations. We innovate consistently by making software do as much work as possible.”

eMachineShop applies continuous process improvement in nearly everything they do. For example, eMachineShop has internally developed software to increase employee training retention which helps manage and streamline day to day operations. Their software-based business model and technological approach to problem-solving makes eMachineShop one of the most inventive manufacturers in New Jersey.

The winners will be announced on NJMEP’s annual Manufacturing Day held at the Bridgewater Marriott on Friday, October 6th.

eMachineShop makes a wide variety of custom parts for hobbyists, engineers, small businesses, and large companies like Google, Amazon, NASA, and Boeing. eMachineShop offers machining services like CNC milling, injection molding, 3D printing, CNC turning, wire EDM and waterjet cutting.

Products they manufacture include auto parts, electronic enclosures, signs, brackets, and panels to name a few. Both prototype and production quantities of parts are available.
