Toll Brothers Team Rides to Help Cure Diabetes

The Toll Brothers/Parker Adventist team raised more than $12,000 for the American Diabetes Association in the Tour de Cure event.

Parker, CO, October 22, 2017 --(PR.com)-- A team of riders, walkers and runners from Toll Brothers and Parker Adventist Hospital completed the recent Tour de Cure Colorado and raised more than $12,000 for the American Diabetes Association in cash and matching EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) services.

The Tour de Cure event attracted more than 160 teams and 1,474 riders who solicited donations before the event - raising more than $650,000 for diabetes awareness.

“Coloradans are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as 410,312 suffer from the disease, and an additional 1.3 million more have prediabetes,” said Team Leaders Reggie Carveth, Assistant Vice President of Toll Brothers, and Sam Huenergardt, CEO of Parker Adventist Hospital. “The donations to our team will help the American Diabetes Association provide community-based education programs and fund critical research for a cure.”

The Tour de Cure Colorado is an event to raise funds for education, programs, research and advocacy and to recognize, highlight and empower those living every day with diabetes while raising awareness surrounding the disease. Tour de Cure Colorado is not a race, but has routes designed for everyone: walkers, runners, occasional riders, families and experienced cyclists.
