Overcoming Obstacles That Women Face in the Cybersecurity Workforce

New York, NY, July 07, 2021 --(PR.com)-- The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) provides comprehensive support to Ukraine in cybersecurity through a 4-year project USAID Ukraine "Cybersecurity of critically important infrastructure of Ukraine." This project is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's cyber attitude through systemic reforms, building cybersecurity personnel potential, partnership with the private sector. USAID invited Cyber Institute’s Executive Director at the Center for Women and Minorities in the Cyber Workforce to speak at their conference in Ukraine to promote USAID’s Cybersecurity Activity project to raise awareness of barriers women face in the cybersecurity workforce. She presented, “Women in cyber safety - development opportunities." The event was featured by Taylor Vance, cybersecurity specialist and executive director at the Cyber Institute. Mrs. Vance shared cases from her own experience in the field and promoted opportunities of professional development for Ukrainian Women. She expressed “project is implementing a number of initiatives to support women leadership in the industry which is timely and crucial to increase participation.”
