St. Louis, MO, July 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Duke Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of food preparation and serving equipment for the restaurant industry, has received the prestigious Burger King Corp. (BKC) and Restaurant Services, Inc. (RSI) Vendor of the Year Award presented at the 2008 BKC’s Global Convention in Orlando. The annual award is given to a select number of equipment providers who service the BURGER KING® system.
RSI’s CEO George Hoffman, who presented the award on behalf of BKC and RSI, commented, “Duke Manufacturing was chosen for its innovative equipment. Duke supplies several custom-designed equipment solutions to BURGER KING® restaurants throughout the world. The company has worked closely with BKC to develop innovative cooking and holding solutions, including Product Holding Units, the Flexible Batch Broiler and the new WHOPPER BAR™ restaurant. “From the owner, Jack Hake, to engineer, Steve Shei, to the sales staff and manufacturing teams, Duke has demonstrated a commitment to BKC that is second to none, and has delivered cutting edge solutions over and over again,” said Hoffman.
“We are honored to have been selected to receive the coveted Vendor of the Year Award from BKC,” said Bill Rose, Vice President of Sales for Worldwide Chains at Duke Manufacturing. “It demonstrates our commitment to developing truly innovative products that meet our customers’ needs for food quality, employee productivity and energy efficiency.
