About Avis C. Foster

Avis C. Foster is EC Teacher at WSFCS-Caleb’s Creek Elementary School in Kernersville, North Carolina. Ms. Foster has over 32 years teaching experience, with an expertise in Special Education. Ms. Foster is the recipient of the Human Relations Award from the North Carolina Association of Education-Teacher of the Year in 2006. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Reading from Appalachian State University. Ms. Foster is a member of the National Education Association and the North Carolina Association of Educators. In her spare time she is involved in Brain Gym and enjoys travel, farming and writing.
