About Scott Unash

Scott Unash was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he attended Kennedy High School and played baseball and golf. He attended the University of Iowa and received a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Mr. Unash was the Sports Director at KCRG Radio. KCRG was purchased by KZIA and became KGYM 1600 ESPN and Mr. Unash was named the Sports and Program Director at the new station. Mr. Unash's play-by-play radio announcing of a high school baseball state final was featured in the movie “The Final Season.” Mr. Unash has received numerous awards and honors including being named multiple times by the Iowa Broadcast News Association as the state's top play-by-play announcer. Mr. Unash is a member of the Iowa Broadcast News Association and the Iowa Broadcast Association. In his free time he enjoys travel and spending time with his family.
