Worldwide Gateway to the Drinking Water Industry. The International Drinking Water Association (IDWA) seeks to advance worldwide awareness of public health, environmental, and economic problems caused by drinking water. The association stresses the use of technology and preventive public-awareness measures to control the contamination of our drinking water. We also seek to lobby for the establishment of water treatment system standards for every new home built in all parts of the world. The association emphasizes that these standards will reduce economic burdens and improve the general health of the public. Other missions of the IDWA are collecting and disseminating information and monitoring government activities. The IDWA holds seminars, conferences, and trade shows.
