Cabaret Cares/Help Is On The Way Today is announcing their annual Gala Fundraiser, May 20 at the Laurie Beechman Theater. The 501c3 charity assists children living with HIV/AIDS. This year, they honor media personality Valerie Smaldone with the Spirit Award. Christine Pedi (Newsical the Musical, S**t Liza Minelli Says) will perform. Gala includes cocktails, auction, dinner, performances by top Broadway and Cabaret talent, gift bags. Robert Creighton of "Anything Goes" will be the auctioneer. - April 24, 2012
