LithSafe Contracted by EPA to Protect Lithium Ion Test Facilities
The US Environmental Protection Agency has contracted LithSafe to develop lithium ion battery test chambers, design emergency response protocols, and create staff emergency training for their NVFEL test facilities. As seen with the recent Boeing 787 incident (among others), lithium (ion) batteries can present a substantial fire hazard. The EPA has deemed it necessary to protect its facilities and workers.
