Guinness World Record Run Across the US Has Not Been Broken in 32 Years Now Has a Contender in Steve Knowlton Who is Set to Beat It This Fall

Steve Knowlton is an accomplished Ultra-Marathoner who has already completed one Trans-Continental run in 2010/11. He has now been training to attempt breaking the World Record Run from San Francisco to New York which has not been broken in 32 yrs. Steve plans to run an average of 70 miles per day over 45 days to beat the record. There are 271 trans continental runs recorded since the late 1800's. He is prepared to begin the run on Sept. 1st, 2012. - July 27, 2012
