The FGMIC will produce an advanced glass manufacturing technology roadmap to prioritize and plan precompetitive collaborative research to solve functional glass manufacturing challenges. Functional glasses are high-performance technical glasses engineered for specific uses in energy, information, defense, communications, transportation, and biomedical applications.
