The American Ceramic Society Awarded $480k NIST AMTech Grant to Form Functional Glass Manufacturing Innovation Consortium
The FGMIC will produce an advanced glass manufacturing technology roadmap to prioritize and plan precompetitive collaborative research to solve functional glass manufacturing challenges. Functional glasses are high-performance technical glasses engineered for specific uses in energy, information, defense, communications, transportation, and biomedical applications. The FGMIC is one of 16 AMTech awards announced by NIST for a total of $7.8 million. - May 19, 2015
