Custom PNA

Description:
Synthesis of peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) Waholm, Berg, and Buchardt in 1991, a new, completely artificial DNA/RNA analog by replacing sugar phosphate backbones was introduced by Nielsen, Ege of natural nucleic acid with a synthetic peptide backbones.

Unlike DNA or DNA analogs, these peptide-like DNA structures have the ability to form extremely stable complexes with complementary DNA oligomers and resistance to hydrolytic reactions and, thus, not expected to be degraded inside a living cell.

The impressive property of a PNA is their ability to form extremely stable complexes with complementary DNA oligomers.

This stability suggests PNAs are superior reagents in antisense and antigene applications, and creates other uses for which sequence specific but thermally stable complexes are required.

With over 22 years of experience in synthetic nucleic acid /peptide experience, BSI has developed the expertise to deliver a diverse and broad range of custom peptide nucleic acid synthesis services. From simple PNA synthesis, PNA-bioconjugates to Oligo chimera. You can design. We can help!
