Sonitrol Pacific Audio Sensors Catch Three

The Sonitrol Pacific security system alerted authorities to suspicious activity at a Washington middle school August 9, resulting in the arrest of three individuals.

Tacoma, WA, August 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Three early morning intruders at a Washington middle school were taken into custody after the school’s Sonitrol Pacific intrusion detection system alerted an expert operator to their activity August 9.

Just after midnight, the operator received an impact audio activation from the school. An expert sound analyst, the operator reviewed the audio and heard movement. She immediately dispatched the school district’s guard service. Within minutes she heard yelling indicating the guards located the individuals inside the school.

The guards detained the suspects who were later taken into custody and charged with breaking and entering.

Sonitrol Pacific, a Sound Security Inc. company, has provided electronic security services to schools and businesses in the Pacific Northwest since 1978. In that time, the company has assisted law enforcement officials in the apprehension of more than 4,950 suspects.
