Mary Cantando Named Honorary Chair of The Alliance for Women Campaign

Raleigh, NC, August 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mary Cantando, president and growth expert of WomanBusinessOwner.com, has been named honorary chair of The Alliance for Women campaign. The Alliance for Women is a Columbia, SC based public-private partnership between Columbia College and the South Carolina Governor’s Commission on Women that focuses solely on improving the status of women in South Carolina. As honorary chair, Cantando will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in fundraising for the organization.

"Columbia College is very near to my heart and I am honored to lead this initiative on their behalf," said Cantando. "The Alliance for Women is already beginning to make an impact and this fundraising effort will extend that impact throughout the state."
