The daily retreat program begins with sunrise Surya meditation and a morning of yoga and time for eco-forest walks, rice field trekking, along a secluded beach or simply slumbering in a hammock or on a sun-bed getting a tan while reading and thinking of personal resolutions to change course for a more sustainable and satisfying life style and living.

At noon there is an hour of Surya meditation and water exercises in the infinity pool merging with the rice field terraces and the sea horizon beyond. The early afternoon is devoted to satsangs and seminar discussions as well as personal Sai Shakti healing consultations with Swathimaa and Raymond. In the late afternoon it is time for ayuvredic consultation and treatments designed according to each individual’s personal constitution and health assessment. Following dinner under the stars, the retreat group gathers around a cozy fire for an evening of singing and chanting to relax for a night of deep sleep.

Zen Resort’s unique design, serenity, spirituality and the wellness enhancing environment makes for idyllic location for this retreat to heal, relax and recharge. Next to the resort are the cave ruins of an ancient temple and 200 meters away on the beach are a temple dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea and another to the moon. The architecture throughout the resort is traditional Balinese with each building resembling a Balinese temple. The fourteen air-conditioned sea view villas look out onto verdant landscape and down to the sea with sunset and sunrise views. Each of the villas includes an elegantly furnished double bedroom with a private terrace and a parlor leading to an open air designer garden bathroom.

There are three serene venues for meditation and yoga at Zen Resort, namely a 120 sq meters pavilion surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens and a sunrise tree tops center and a sunset deck overlooking rice fields, vineyards and natural forest with wide open views of the Sea of Bali.

The ayurveda spa at the resort offers over 30 authentic ayurvedic healing and wellness treatments as well as traditional Balinese treatments, rejuvenating herbal and floral baths and beauty treatments by qualified professionals from Kerala, India together with a team of trained Balinese therapists..

Zen Resort’s specialist chefs present a variety of nutritious dishes featuring Asian, European and Ayurvedic vegetarian cuisine as well as catering for individual dietary requirements. All meals are served in the tropical gardens with spectacular views of the Sea of Bali abound with traditional fishing boats.

An hour’s nature walk from the resort under the guidance of the resort’s expert on indigenous flora and fauna through an eco-forest and across rice fields and tropical plantations leads to Banjar Natural Hot Springs for a rejuvenating bath and on to the 6th Century Vihara Buddhist temple where the resident monks are happy to organize meditation sessions.

Just a 200 meters walk along a paved pathway with vineyards on one side and rice fields on the other leads to the secluded Puri Jati seashore with one of the world’s richest micro marine environment to snorkel and dive and a place to take off at dawn for a sunrise dolphin sail. Also an hour’s drive from the resort there is spectacular scuba diving at Menjangan Island.
