Maney, who graduated with bachelor of science and master of science degrees from North Carolina State University, was previously employed by NTS Research Corporation and the Research Triangle Institute. She is also the former co-owner of Park Flower Shoppe and Flowers in the Park, located at the Research Triangle Park, and is a member of the Duke University Medical Center Institutional Review Board. Maney resides in Cary.
