Montreal, Canada, August 21, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Solutions Direct Digital Inc. (leaders in end-to-end digital signage systems) announced today the initiation of their community based digital signage network (The GREEN Ad Network) aimed initially at the West-Island of Montreal. The cluster of 24” - 50” LCD/Plasma display panels will be strategically installed at approximately fifteen (15) high-traffic, captive locations throughout the West Island. The system has already been approved and recognized by the West Island’s Chamber of Commerce – which recently became the first official advertiser and sponsor of the upcoming network.
“The GREEN Ad Network is a remarkably powerful place-based marketing medium targeted at local consumers. We have taken various factors in to consideration that has enabled us to position the GREEN Ad Network as an essential part of any business’s integrated marketing communications approach while enabling them to be environmentally responsible – an important direction we feel many businesses and individuals are already taking” says GREEN Ad Networks Founder and President, Minesh Perera. The cutting-edge eco-friendly network was launched as a means to maximize community involvement while setting a foundation for a low-cost, yet highly effective marketing vehicle for small to medium sized businesses in the local community. In addition to fresh community news and targeted third-party advertising, the GREEN Ad Network will also inform viewers of weather updates, latest news, sport scores and a variety of other up-to-the-minute news (infotainment) while viewers wait for service at various local businesses. Furthermore, as the name illustrates the GREEN Ad Network is definitely a push towards an environmentally friendlier approach to marketing as all content and creative is produced digitally, delivered digitally and displayed digitally. DDS has also opted to use LCD and/or eco-friendly (100% lead & mercury free) Plasma display panels as they tend to consume less energy and/or are more environmentally friendly than other alternatives. To maintain a strong commitment to a healthier environment, DDS will publish a monthly newsletter targeting local businesses titled “12 tips to go green” and donate a percentage of all ad sales to organizations such as Tree Canada (www.treecanada.org).
In addition to a state-of-the-art marketing system, DDS’s design also includes interactive components to the display system that enables text messaging (SMS) and Bluetooth (coupon delivery to mobile phones) technology. DDS will be commencing installation at West-Islands well renowned Marche de l’Ouest (which attracts over 100,000 monthly shoppers) owned and operated by commercial real-estate giant; Plaza Retail Properties Ltd. followed by the local hotspot; Cheaters restaurant & bar, Subway restaurant, Clyde’s and various other leading establishments in the West Island. Considering approximately 85% of business sales come from within an 8km radius, the GREEN Ad Network offers the small to medium (SMB) business market the perfect medium to reach today’s hard to reach consumers. “We are excited about this network, the response from potential advertisers and host partners has already been phenomenal, and we have recently secured relationships with businesses in other areas such as Laval, Saint-Laurent, Vaudreuille and Downtown Montreal with intentions to expand the network to 60 screens in various other communities within the year” added Minesh Perera. Moreover, the dynamic nature of the GREEN Ad Network also enables advertisers to select locations via detailed audience demographics and/or location specific details, creating a truly unique and effective marketing strategy tuned with pin-point precision. The GREEN Ad Network also positions itself as an essential tool for charitable organizations in Montreal to get their message, event, fundraiser etc. out to the public effectively at very little or no cost. Furthermore, prizes including gift vouchers, concert tickets, electronics, cash etc. will be offered via various contests on the screens. “We are confident that the GREEN Ad Network will offer marketers an innovative solution to strategically reach today’s on-the-go consumer” concluded Minesh Perera.
Businesses’ interested in advertising on the GREEN Network are asked to contact Stephane Senghor, Sales Manager GREEN Network - directly at 514-501-7470 or toll free at 877-703-8074 Ext. 705 to request a media kit.
