The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m at Buckhead Saloon, located at 411 West Morgan St. in Raleigh. Founded in 1970 by parents of children with Type 1 diabetes, the JDRF is the world’s largest charitable fundraiser and advocate of Type 1 diabetes research.
